Bands for OEF - check this out, this year is really unlucky one >>> NAPALM DEATH - they were „almost“ booked this year, I was in contact with Mitch, we have arranged all conditions since December but few days ago their manager sent me e-mail that they’ll be in studio during OEF, so big disillusion..., AGATHOCLES - same thing, they are in the studio, DISFEAR - what a cool band! But Tompa is in Us with his other band AT THE GATES, INSECT WARFARE - super band! I have seen 4 shows of their Australian tour, brutal!!! But they do also Japan tour this year so most probably they will tour Europe next year!!! GRONIBARD - same old story, recording new album in July...So I just contacted heaps of other bands and let’s hope that some of them will play OEF...

It makes me sad to know that I won't see a lot of you whom I have come to know so well. As for myself, I can no longer live the life of a traveling musician; therefore, I am giving up my position in the band to someone who can put 100% into it and keep the music going strong. I will continue to support the band and help out in any way I can. I still love Death Metal and all things dark and that will not change. This was a hard dicision, but it is for the betterment of Deeds. It would not be fair to my band mates to not put full effort into the music.

Erland will do a kick ass job in my place. Many of you have seen him play with Vile on the European and U.S. tours in 2006. The guy is a freakin machine. He will play on the new album and will tour with the band. He is a great guy and I am glad someone like him will replace me."

Płyta sprzedaje się świetnie nie tylko w Kraju Kwitnącej Wiśni. Dzięki "Lost Highway" zespół po raz pierwszy zadebiutował na pierwszym miejscu w Stanach (sprzedając w ciągu tygodnia 291 tys. płyt). Album znalazł się także na pierwszym miejscu listy European Top 100 Billboardu oraz na listach sprzedaży w Kanadzie, Niemczech, Szwajcarii, Holandii, Austrii i Tajlandii.

I 100% agree! It is all record company hype and playing with stats...I just would not be physically possible for any artist who only has as many albums as George and has only been around since the 80s to sell that many...it would be possible for people like Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand to have sold that many...because they have 20+ albums each and because they had been around a good 10, 20 years before George started singing in the 80s...so they got a headstart! Plus, Jacko and Babs are at least still selling in the worlds biggest market, America...that racks up loads of sales...George's main market is UK/Europe with smaller populations...not many kids under 16 in America would even know who George is...he is kidding himself he thinks he sold 100 million albums...

...and if 100 million people bought George albums...why do his messageboards/forums only ever have like 600 max members...and only like 40 active members? I mean, out of those 100 million people...at least half must have really liked the album...and then half of those would become die-hard fans...so where are they? There should be, like, 10,000 people posting on this board?!?

As a prelude to the audio plague they will unleash this year, the band presents the Get Your Body Beat EP. Seven versions of the title track, along with a remix of “Products” and two b-sides the EP shows an evolution from their 2005 release, Everybody Hates You. Infectiously intense EBM beats and melodies accented by bits of power noise electronics, Andy LaPlegua’s easily discernable vocals, and techno music elements make the EP serve as a buzz worthy teaser for the new album. Combichrist is currently working on the new album ! Its scheduled for late September 2006, but it might be some changes. The working title on the album is "WTF Is Wrong With You People?" Belgian based Thurisaz is about the take over the rest of the world. They've just done a outstanding performance at the prestigious Graspop Metal Meeting and returned from some American dates with Novembers Doom. Earlier this year Thurisaz was part of a European tour with also Novembers Doom, Saturnus and Agalloch. This all to promote their second piece of art, entitled "Circadian Rhythm", out on Shiver Records April 2007.

Entombed to klasyka szwedzkiego death thrash metalu, która w zabójczo doskonałej formie tworzy już od 17 lat. Już ich debiutancki krążek - "Left Hand Path" (1990) zapewnił grupie miejsce w czołówce szwedzkiego death metalu, jednak sami muzycy określają swój styl jako "death n roll". We wrześniu tego roku miała się ukazać kolejna studyjna płyta weteranów skandynawskiego metalu, jednak w wyniku olbrzymiego sukcesu, jaki osiągnęła epka zapowiadająca ten album - "When In Sodom", (która na rynku ukazała się w czerwcu) grupa zdecydowała się opóźnić premierę najnowszego krążka. Ostatecznie "Serpent Saints" ma się ukazać na przełomie lutego i marca przyszłego roku. Natomiast Korpiklaani to prawdziwa gratka dla każdego miłośnika muzyki niekonwencjonalnej. Ta fińska grupa, która swoją działalność rozpoczęła pod nazwą Shaman tworzy muzykę, która jest ekscytującą mieszanką folku z thrash metalem! W 2006 roku ukazał się ich trzeci studyjny krążek – „Tales Along This Road”, który spotkał się z bardzo dobrym przyjęciem nie tylko na metalowej scenie. The undisputed Kings Of Metal will release their first ever EP entitled "The Sons Of Odin".

"We decided that just a single wasn't enough," said bassist Joey DeMaio. "We want to give our fans maximum value for minimum expense and the EP format is the best way to do that. It gives us the opportunity to cram tons of audio and video content into one package."

The EP will feature over 25 minutes of total playing time. Besides "The Sons Of Odin" - which features MANOWAR’s patented, lion-hearted metal riffs mixed with arena-rock stomping grooves and orchestral arrangements - the EP includes the title track from the upcoming Manowar full-length album "Gods Of War", an orchestral version of the new song "Odin" and live performances of "The Ascension" and "King Of Kings" from the Earthshaker Fest 2005. Urodziła się 16 września 1984 r. w Kutaisi (Gruzja). Wczesne dzieciństwo spędziła w Tbilisi i Batumi. Gdy miała 8 lat wyemigrowała wraz z rodziną do Wielkiej Brytanii. Do 1998 roku mieszkała w Belfaście, później przeniosła się do Londynu. W wieku 15 lat wygrała konkurs piosenki zorganizowany przez angielski kanał telewizyjny ITV - zaśpiewała w nim utwór Mariah Carey "Without You".

Później rozpoczęła naukę w szkole artystycznej w Londynie (B.R.I.T. School for the Performing Arts & Technology), gdzie jej talent odkrył kompozytor i producent Mike Batt, założyciel wytwórni płytowej Dramatico. Dzięki niemu piosenkarka wydała debiutancki album "Call Off The Search", który ukazał się w listopadzie 2003 roku. Na płycie znalazły się utwory autorstwa zarówno Katie jak i Mike'a, a także kilka coverów (z repertuaru Johna Mayalla, Randy'ego Newmana i Jamesa Sheltona).

W 2003 roku piosenkarka ukończyła jeszcze szkołę (z wyróżnieniem) oraz wystąpiła na Royal Variety Performance – corocznej imprezie charytatywnej, której gościem honorowym jest Elżbieta II.

Płyta "Cal Off The Search" trafiła w styczniu 2004 roku na szczyt brytyjskiej listy przebojów, gdzie utrzymała się przez kilka tygodni. Album pokrył się wielokrotnie platyną. W lutym artystka wyruszyła na swoje pierwsze tournee po Wielkiej Brytanii, we wrześniu dała koncerty w Europie, a pod koniec roku w USA.

Na początku 2005 roku piosenkarka została zaproszona przez Sharon Osbourne do nagrania utworu Erika Claptona "Tears In Heaven". Dochód przeznaczono na pomoc ofiarom azjatyckiego tsunami. 19 marca, wspólnie z zespołem Queen, zaśpiewała na rzecz fundacji Nelsona Mandeli, piosenkę "Too Much Love Will Kill You".

26 września 2005 roku na półki sklepowe trafiła druga płyta wokalistki "Piece By Piece".

Poprzedzający ją singel "Nine Million Bicycles" zajął piąte miejsce na brytyjskiej liście przebojów, a także podbił szereg europejskich list przebojów, dając jej drugą pozycję na Billboard European Top 100. Po wydaniu płyty artystka wyruszyła w trzymiesięczne tournee po Europie.

W 2005 roku została dwukrotnie nominowana do Brit Awards.

Rok później w Polsce ukazało się podwójne DVD piosenkarki "On the Road Again". Znalazły się na nim m.in. zapis występu, jaki miał miejsce 18 marca 2004 roku w Fairfield Halls Croydon, a także fragment koncertu "46664" z 19 marca 2005, który odbył się w RPA, w hołdzie Nelsonowi Mandeli. Na płycie zamieszczono również fragmenty występu artystki, który odbył się 22 października 2004 r. w Royal Albert Hall.

New album HORDES OF CHAOS out on 2009-01-16

The rolling thunder is growing louder and great events are foreshadowed again: Germany’s most eminent thrash metal act, Kreator, are set to release their latest studio album on 16 January 2009 (Europe: 19 January, US: end of January). Hordes Of Chaos is a powerhouse featuring rigorous thrash attacks and Kreator’s familiarly intelligent lyrics about self-determination and the dangers of contemporary war propaganda. Kreator are also scheduled to embark on another major European tour as early as January 2009.

Hordes Of Chaos was recorded at Berlin’s Tritonus studios under the direction of producer Moses Schneider. Schneider is renowned for his fresh and exceptionally dynamic working methods with bands and artists such as Beatsteaks and Tocotronic. “We consciously decided on Moses as our producer for the live recording of the basic tracks at the studio,” band mastermind Mille Petrozza explains. “This was the first time since Pleasure To Kill that we worked in this way. The new album is a 100% realistic reflection of Kreator’s live qualities. Instead of exploring every little detail to sterile perfection with the help of computer technology, this time around we wanted to deliver as dynamic a production as possible. There can be no doubt that we’ve achieved our target in Hordes Of Chaos.” The album was mixed in London by Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine, Cradle Of Filth, etc.).

The new studio album will be available in three different versions. The jewel case edition includes the ten regular album songs, and the deluxe version features an additional bonus DVD with an atmospheric making-of in super-8 quality courtesy of a Berlin film maker. As a third option, the ultra deluxe version, comes with a t-shirt, a worthwhile photo book and an extended version of the bonus DVD, as well as the CD.

As early as January, Kreator musicians Mille Petrozza (guitar, vocals), drummer Jürgen ‘Ventor’ Reil, bassist Christian Giesler and guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö will embark on their two-month European tour alongside Caliban and Eluveite. So you’d better fasten your seatbelts when the Hordes Of Chaos steamroll through the country!

Cytat: Behemoth is in the final stages of the songwriting process for their upcoming, yet untitled album. The record is tentatively expected sometime in the fall via Metal Blade (US), Nuclear Blast (Europe). Nergal and Co. are planning to enter the studio in the middle of February. Behemoth's mainman Nergal has issued the following report:

"As I write this, we have seven songs that are completely written and arranged though there's still leads missing in some of them. It all sounds tight as fuck and very fresh! There are two more songs under working so after New Year break we should start working on it. I want this album to be very consistent, intense and catchy at the same time. Judging by what what's been composed so far, that's exactly where we are with this new material.

Last year was a very productive year for all of us… we've toured US, Australia and New Zealand, covered most of prestigious festivals in Europe and invaded virgin markets in Asia: Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand. It was also the first time since ages that I managed to take two months off from any band activity. I travelled a lot, recharged my batteries and decompressed myself. I've been collecting ideas, riffs and pieces of lyrics throughout the whole 2008 but it was in October where I seriously kicked my ass and started full on work on the album. It went pretty rough in the very first stages but the more stuff was written the smoother it went."

I must confess that I'm way more excited about this record than I was for "The Apostasy". It's probably the whole label situation that we had to deal back then, Inferno's injury that caused crazy deadlines that completely drained the energy out of my system… I even started treating that album as unwanted child. Weird, because from time perspective it's a great one. This time though everything was planned much in advanced. I found time to live my life, get some energy back, get inspired and so on… when we met in October it was obvious that all of us were really hungry for making new music. It's definitely 100% Behemoth. I would risk to say that we do have our own style but it's still improving, evolving in different directions every time we approach new project. Most of the songs are the really fast, technical and intense, at the same time there's a lot of diversity. There's even a very slow, massive song that's probably the most epic tracks in Behemoth's history. Everything sounds more serious and… dangerous (I love that word, ha ha). There's probably more sinister vibe in our music this time too. I'm completely stoked and I just can't wait til we enter the studio!"

Słuchając dema nowych utworów nie mam wątpliwości, że wszystkie te elementy są integralną częścią nowopowstającego materiału. (...) Kiedy spotkaliśmy się na pierwszych próbach w październiku, od razu dało się wyczuć głód tworzenia nowej muzyki. To, co stworzyliśmy do tej pory, to 100% Behemoth. As Soundscan album sales officially began at midnight, 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Bon Jovi’s “Stripped” live performance was put up on 602 Clear Channel radio station websites from coast-to-coast. Telewizja Channel 4 opublikowała wyniki plebiscytu, w którym podsumowała najlepsze albumy wszechczasów.

W plebiscycie głosowało ponad 500 tysięcy Brytyjczyków. Celem zabawy było stworzenie listy krążków, które zmieniły życie mieszkańców Wielkiej Brytanii. Telewidzowie zgodnie wyróżnili zespół Radiohead i ich kultowy album "OK Computer".

Największą popularność przyniosły jej single z drugiej płyty studyjnej "One of the Boys": "Ur So Gay" oraz światowy hit "I Kissed a Girl", który znalazł się na szczycie listy Billboard Hot 100 oraz Canadian Hot 100.

Biografia

Młodość

Katy Perry urodziła się w Santa Barbara, w stanie Kalifornia, USA. Jest dzieckiem pastorostwa, dlatego dorastała słuchając muzyki gospel i śpiewając w kościele. Swój pierwszy album zatytułowany „Katy Hudson” wydała wraz z wytwórnią Red Hill Records i zawarła na nim piosenki muzyki gospel. Jej ostatni album „One of the Boys” na szczyty list przebojów wyniosły dwa single: „Ur So Gay” oraz „I Kissed a Girl”, które poruszają podobną, homoseksualną tematykę i przeczą chrześcijańskim wartościom, w których wzrastała. Katy jednak zaprzecza plotkom o jej seksualności wyjaśniając, że tematyka utworów wiąże się z jej młodością kiedy kościół w którym dosarstała nie przyjmował jej homoseksualnego przyjaciela. Jako nastolatka odkryła jeden z albumów zespołu Queen i od tej pory to ten zespół miał największy wpływ na jej twórczość. Zespół został utworzony na przełomie lat 1991/1992 w San Diego przez Marka Hoppusa i Toma DeLonge. Tom wcześniej grał w zespole Big Oily Men, lecz zespół ten szybko się rozpadł i DeLonge szukał chętnych do grania wraz z nim w nowym zespole. W szkole średniej poznał Ann Hoppus, z którą to przez jakiś czas byli parą, a ona zapoznała go ze swoim bratem Markiem. Hoppus grał wcześniej w grupie The Attic Children, lecz i ona się rozpadła.
DeLonge i Hoppus od razu zaprzyjaźnili się i zaczęli wspólnie grać. Zaczynali w garażu Toma bez perkusisty, ale za to z wieloma świetnymi pomysłami na piosenki. Wkrótce dowiedzieli się, że w szkole jest niejaki Scott Raynor, który gra na perkusji. Natychmiast go zwerbowali do gry w zespole, i mimo że Raynor wcześniej słuchał metalu, szybko udało się chłopakom przekonać go do punk rocka.
Zespół nagrał swoje pierwsze demo pt. Flyswatter w 1993 roku. Zawierało ono kilka własnych kompozycji i garść coverów innych zespołów. Potem (1994) było kolejne demo zatytułowane Buddha, na którym znalazło się kilka nowych piosenek, aż w końcu w 1995 zespół nagrał swój pierwszy długogrający krążek Cheshire Cat dla wytwórni Cargo/Grilled Cheese records. Stopniowo zdobywał coraz większą popularność, koncertując z takimi sławami jak The Offspring czy Bad Religion. W 1997 roku zespół nagrał kolejną płytę - Dude Ranch. Album odniósł duży sukces i otrzymał status złotej płyty.
Zachęcony sukcesem Blink 182 postanowił odkurzyć stare nagrania, i tak oto w 1998 roku światło dzienne ujrzała reedycja dema Buddha, tym razem wydana już jako pełen album na płycie cd. W międzyczasie od zespołu z niewyjaśnionych do końca przyczyn odszedł perkusista Scott Raynor i zastąpił go młody, udzdolniony muzyk - Travis Barker, grający wcześniej w zespole The Aquabats. W roku 1999 grupa atakuje rynek muzyczny świetnym singlem All the Small Things, pochodzącym z najnowszej płyty pt. Enema of the State. Album rozchodzi się jak świeże bułeczki, zespół zostaje dostrzeżony w Europie, zdobywa nagrodę MTV Europe Awards w kategorii Best New Act. Od tego momentu kariera tria z Kalifornii toczy się w zawrotnym tempie.
Ogólnoświatowe trasy koncertowe, wywiady, zdjęcia, wystąpienia w TV, itp. W roku 2000 zostaje wydany album z wersjami koncertowymi utworów z poprzenich płyt grupy pt. The Mark, Tom and Travis Show. Płyta ukazuje się w limitowanej ilośći egzemplarzy i zawiera jeden nowy utwór. Rok 2001 okazuje się rokiem niezwykle twórczym w karierze muzyków: w czerwcu ukazuje się kolejny longplay Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, który błyskawicznie podbija rynek muzyczny na całym świecie takimi hitami jak The Rock Show czy First Date.
W tym czasie DeLonge zaczyna pisać muzykę zupełnie inną od dotychczasowej i nagrywa płytę z Barkerem, Anthonym Celestino i Davidem Kennedy jako Box Car Racer. Płyta stanowi mieszankę punk rocka z emo i hardcorem, grupa zdobywa wierne grono fanów. Na płycie gościnnie pojawiają się Tim Armstrong z Rancida i Jordan Pundnik z New Found Glory, a także Mark Hoppus w kawałku Elevator. W roku 2002 Travis Barker bierze udział w nagraniu płyty The Transplants wraz z Armstrongiem i Robem Astonem. Płyta okazuje się fenomenem, łącząc wiele gatunków muzycznych.
Wreszcie w roku 2003, po dwóch latach przerwy, zespół znów wraca do studia, tym razem już jako trio Blink 182, by nagrać swój szósty album zatytułowany po prostu Blink 182. Ostatni koncert zespół zagrał 16 grudnia 2004. Po prawie rocznej przerwie zespół zostaje rozwiązany z inicjatywy Toma DeLonge. 1 listopada 2005 wydaje ostatnią płytę zatytułowaną Greatest Hits.

W życiu każdego stalkera przychodzi moment, kiedy należy zweryfikować niektóre osądy i tezy, wziąć poprawkę na okoliczności, przeanalizować na spokojnie fakty, odciąć się od nagłych decyzji i spojrzeć okiem chłodnym i konkretnym na pewne rzeczy

Spostrzeżenie pierwsze: Sonic Youth znaczy dla mnie bardzo wiele. Może mnie nawet bulwersować, że nie nagrywają ntego Daydream Nation i na okładce nie pali się świeca ani nie ma słów o tym jak "zamordowaliśmy rodziców i pojechaliśmy w świat". Ale SY nagrali płytę, która dając w mordę najbardziej radykalnym fanom każe jednocześnie im powiedzieć: "Szacunek." Odszedł Jim więc o pielęgniarce nie mogło być mowy, minęły lata, więc o szczeniackiej energii ze 100% możemy sobie zapomnieć, zmienił się świat muzyczny i trendy w kulturze. Każda piosenka na Rather Ripped, mimo tego, iż czekamy aż przyładują ile fabryka dała jak za dawnych dobrych lat a oni pogrywają sobie jakiś easy listening, jest małym dziełem sztuki wielkich mistrzów. I zapewniam was, nikogo na obecnej rockowej scenie nie stać na to by grać tak prosto i tak porywająco zarazem. 6,8? Może i 6.8, ale jak na Sonic Youth. A to i tak bardzo wysoki poziom. KPW?

Spostrzeżenie drugie: Joanna Newsom może i nagrała płytę nudną, może niektóre z tych kawałków ciągną się jaki flaki z olejem, ale jedno jest ważne: w momencie, gdy nie jestem w stanie wstawić żadnej progresywnej płyty do pierwszej pięćdziesiątki (!), gdy wszelakie kapele z którymi wiązano nadzieje na uchronienie formy suity przed śmiercią naturalną, jestem obowiązany przyznać pannie Joannie, że jako jedyna w ostatnich latach potrafiła udźwignąć ciężar dłuższej formy, nadać mu nowe walory i jeszcze w dodatku napisać teksty, z których poziomem jak słusznie zauważył recenzent caladana ostatni raz w muzyce obcowaliśmy przy okazji Van der Graaf Generator. W sposób mistrzowski ta niepozorna dziewczyna robi to samo na co silili się muzycy rockowi w latach 70tych - na połączenie muzyki klasycznej i rockowej. Klasyczna forma i pulsacja wzięta z muzyki, która już wyodrębniła się z jazzu, swingu, soulu... Koegzystencja. To nie są błahostki panowie, mówimy o czymś bardzo, bardzo poważnym.

Spostrzeżenie trzecie: Current 93 stanowi klasę samą dla siebie. O tym wiedzą wszyscy, którzy są zaznajomieni z jego drogą twórczą, filozoficzną etc. Chylę czoła przed Tibetem, ale jego tegoroczne dzieło mimo wciągającej aury, mimo znaczącej symboliki, mimo tłumu znakomitych gości - pozostaje hermetyczne i niedostępne. Może to kwestia długości tej płyty, a może moich uwarunkowań do słuchania muzyki, w każdym bądź razie nie ogarnąłem tego albumu i stąd zachowawcza ocena. Kto wie, może popełniłem błąd, ale na razie tego nie czuję.

Spostrzeżenie czwarte: Ja bardzo przepraszam miłośników Volk do których też się zaliczam, ale wypadałoby posłuchać również Novej Akropoli, a zwłaszcza koncertowej Occupied Europe Tour - to co tam się wyprawia, to przechodzi wszelkie ludzkie pojęcie. Poza tym - oczekiwałbym też większej ilości "premierowego" materiału a nie świetnie zrobionych, lecz jednak, nie swoich kompozycji. Pomysł też wcale niezbyt nowy bo z hymnami narodowymi mierzyło się już paru muzyków, plusem jest oczywiście wykonanie, minusem lekkim nierówność albumu (kawałki genialne i zupełnie średnie). Poza tym złota zasada: cover nawet najbardziej genialny i nawet najbardziej nienadającego się do jakiegokolwiek sensownego wykonania utworu zawsze będzie znaczył mniej niż własna kompozycja. Miejsce 33, i to wykosił z tego zestawienia Comets On Fire co trochę boli

Spostrzeżenie piąte: Tom Waits. Nie ma już z nami Ginsberga, Kerouaca, Burroughsa, Bukowskiego. Pozostał Waits. I tu, pomijając te brudne, spisane gdzieś w knajpie rodem z "Kawy i papierosów", pijane, zrezygnowane, pełne nadziei, lecz częściej zgorzkniałe, "osierocone" pieśni układają się w najczystszy i najważniejszy album Artysty. To one, a nie kawałki z Rain Dogs czy Blue Valentine, oddają w najbliższy i najmocniejszy sposób charakter Toma Waitsa. Nie wolno oceniać tej płyty bez znajomości większej części jego dyskografii. I nie wolno przejść obojętnie wobec momentu, w którym swoim niesamowitym głosem recytuje "Nirwanę" Bukowskiego. Powiem szczerze: nie mam żadnych wątpliwości że to jest PŁYTA ROKU 2006. I spośród wszystkich moich wyborów tego jestem najbardziej pewien.

Spostrzeżenie szóste: nie podnieca mnie ani Afrokolektyw, ani Kanał Audytywny, ani L.U.C. ani nowy Fisz. Jeśli coś mnie z hiphopu polskiego naprawdę rusza to jest Księga Tajemnicza Prolog i Kinematografia. Na chwilę obecną niewiele więcej.

“The keys to the new Impulse design are its valve and regulators.” says Hans Semelsberger, Smart Parts' Director of Technical Sales. “Most poppet valves are pushed closed by the air inside, so when the pressure is right for good efficiency, you have to hit them pretty hard to knock them open, and that shakes the gun, throwing off your aim. Our pressure balanced valve lets the air pressure push forward and backwards on the valve core at the same time. Those forces cancel each other out and the valve opens easily regardless of the pressure inside. It's so soft, I can push it open with my little finger. Because the valve opens so easily, we are able to use two-stage regulation to drive the firing piston with very low pressure gas. A CARELESS Whisper is doing the rounds in Weatherfield that George Michael is to star in Coronation Street.

The soap-mad singer was offered a cameo in the show's Christmas special when he met the cast after his storming gig in Manchester on Friday night.

George, 43, was also invited for a guided tour of the set later this week.

Our spy tells us: "George is a massive soap fan and absolutely adores Corrie and EastEnders. He is glued to them when he is not working and records them when he is away.

"He is not sure whether to take Corrie up on their offer because he is so busy with his tour, but he was over the moon to be asked.

"He will definitely be going to meet everybody this week. He's really looking forward to getting behind the bar at the Rovers Return and pulling a few pints."

The feeling is mutual. Corrie stars - including Tupele Dorgu (who plays Kelly Crabtree) and Sally Whittaker (Sally Webster) - were thrilled to meet George on Friday at what was his first UK gig for 15 years.

Our Street insider says: "The cast was so excited to meet George - they are huge fans. We'd love to have him in our Christmas show in some capacity and have asked him. In the meantime, everyone is looking forward to him coming to the set - we'll bend his ear about it then."

It has been an eventful few days for George. As well as two brilliant weekend gigs in Manchester, his fab album, Twenty-Five, went into the chart at No.1 yesterday. It has sold 100,000 copies in its first week alone.

And, true to form, he is still courting controversy. His stage show features a blow-up President Bush with a British bulldog "nuzzling" his groin.

George also got loud cheers on Friday when he slammed Bush for making the world a "much more dangerous place". And on Saturday he called Tony Blair a w*****.

No.1 star in No.1 soap?
What a week for George Michael. After a few years riding out assorted controversies - apparently intelligent popstars aren't allowed to make political comments these days - he seems to have been forgiven by the masses.

His tour has sold out, his latest 'best of' album has sold 100,000 copies and gone straight in at No.1. And now he's also the toast of Weatherfield.

A big soap fan himself, Michael was 'over the moon' at the weekend when he met some of the Coronation Street cast at his Manchester gig and they offered him a cameo in the show's Christmas special.

According to the Mirror's source, George 'is not sure whether to take Corrie up on their offer because he is so busy with his tour, but he was over the moon to be asked.'

His schedule does allow a quick set visit though, which he's definitely doing this week.

'He's really looking forward to getting behind the bar at the Rovers Return and pulling a few pints.'

Which makes a change from getting into the toilets and pulling an undercover cop.

I want to be presented. My name is Dmitry, I live in St.-Petersburg, I am the president of Fan-club of George Michael in St.-Petersburg since 1994.
The beginnings to listen to George Michael in 1991. Then I lived on Vasilyevskiy island (area of city) and to us one of the first, have lead(carried out) satellite TV. Then I started to look MTV from London. Twisted then his clips very much. The first clip which I have seen, was "Freedom". Then I have seen clips from an album "Faith" To tell the truth, for me the song "Freedom" began some kind of a hymn of my life. It reflects a condition of my soul for that period, and now.
In those times to buy an album, especially firm, it was simply unreal. To me was 15 years, I traded in ice-cream on the Nevskiy avenue. I have hung up on the handle of the carriage on which I transported boxes with ice-cream, the announcement that I shall buy George Michael's disk. I then managed to buy a vinyl disk “ Listen Without Prejudice ” for huge money on those times - 500 roubles (almost $100) Before, completely casually, through one familiar my brother, I managed to buy vinyl "Faith". So, at me appeared George Michael's two firm vinyl discs. I so frequently listened to them, that they have started to crackle! Due to that I looked London MTV, I managed to keep abreast of all news about George. To me has carried to see his triumph at a concert devoted Freddy Mercury. It was simply ingenious! I remember, the clip “ Killer/Papa was a rolling stone ” was driven till 10-15 with time for day! It was healthy, when on MTV was George Michael weekend! Imagine, his clips drove all two days! I then could see ALL clips Wham and his solo works.
Very strongly experienced, when at him problems with Sony have begun. I, to tell the truth, thought, that more he will not write down any album. Yes, expectation of death was similar! But, with what pleasure I recollect that day when he for the first time on MTV Europe Music Awards 1994 has executed Jesus to a child! It was simply phenomenal! Well, it is possible to speak about album Older in general without interruption! It was that long-awaited moment when he has shown all what he the composer, and has outdone those who has given his career up as a bad job.
As to last album "Patience" I him perceive, as very personal album, very much, I would tell, intimate. It seems to me, that he was directed first of all to admirers of his creativity of advanced age whom during an album "Faith" was for 14-15 years. Young him do not understand (Excuse, if whom has offended). They waited from an album драйв, but unless the man of 40 years with philosophical mentality драйв can compose? I want to tell everyone, that I actively am engaged in questions of round of George Michael in Russia, in particular, in St.-Petersburg. Me am carried on active negotiations with promotion company Ť the Planet plus ť, and also with Russian representation SonyBMG.
I can tell, that by last results of negotiations, it is rather probable, that the next year George will go to world tour (he more than once spoke, that wants to visit the countries and to greet the admirers there where yet to time was not) and will give two concerts, in Petersburg and Moscow.

ABU DHABI // It is shaping up to be one of the largest, most accessible concerts the nation has ever seen: Alicia Keys opening for George Michael in front of up to 30,000 fans at Zayed Sports City stadium to celebrate National Day.

The singer from the US was added to the Dec 1 bill yesterday marking the first time she and her fellow Grammy winner from the UK will perform on the same stage.

On Saturday, organisers will make 10,000 low-priced tickets available at Dh190 (US$52) each. The two artists should prove a major draw. Michael, who has sold more than 100 million records, has said it will be his farewell show.

Keys, who has sold more than 30m records, will appear in Abu Dhabi as part of a two-month tour of Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

It is the first concert to be staged at the stadium, better known for hosting football and hockey tournaments.

Due to the stadiums size, concert organisers Flash will be working closely with police.

The event will begin with a local act that has yet to be announced, before moving into Keys performance. Michael, due on stage after 11pm, will sing past midnight in a show to be punctuated by celebratory fireworks.

Keys 2001 debut album, Songs In A Minor, contained the hit Fallin, which sold more than 10m copies worldwide when released as a single, and garnered five Grammy Awards, including best new artist and best R&B album.

Her follow up, 2004s The Diary of Alicia Keys, won four Grammy Awards. While the show will be her first performance here, Keys, 27, is no stranger to the region. The singer has spoken of making a personal pilgrimage to Egypts Valley of the Kings for musical inspiration.

She was ordered to postpone two tour dates in the UK on the first leg of this years tour after contracting laryngitis, but went on to sell out some of its biggest venues including the Manchester Arena.

Keys teamed up with the White Stripes Jack Black to record the first James Bond film theme song by a duet, Another Way To Die, for the latest instalment in the series, Quantum Of Solace, starring Daniel Craig.

The evening is said to be fans last chance to see Michael in concert. The singer, who has faced a series of embarrassing incidents and several arrests, has pegged the Abu Dhabi show as the final live concert of his 25-year music career, and the finale of his 25 Live tour.

Michael and Keys follow Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Jon Bon Jovi and Christina Aguilera in playing in the capital.

Aguileras show last week was the biggest-budget music production so far in the UAE.

Sum 41 – zespół grający rock założony w miejscowości Ajax w prowincji Ontario w Kanadzie w 1996 roku.

Założycielami byli Deryck Whibley (Bizzy D) i Steve Jocz (Stevo32). Później dołączył do nich Dave Beksh (Brownsound), a od 1999 roku gra z nimi Jason McCaslin (Cone). Zespół w 2000 roku wydał swój pierwszy oficjalny album Half Hour of Power. Jednak dopiero drugi album pod tytułem All Killer No Filler i singel "Fat Lip" wydany w 2001 przyniósł zespołowi sławę wśród wielu miłośników tego rodzaju muzyki na całym świecie.

Nazwa zespołu pochodzi od dnia powstania grupy, czterdzieści jeden dni przed rozpoczęciem lata (Sum41 - Summer 41). Benny Benassi urodził się w Mediolanie, 13 lipca 1967 roku. Ma 38 lat, ale wygląda na 25, jak sam przyznaje z uroczym włoskim uśmiechem. Mieszka w Reggio Emilia, włoskim miasteczku położonym ok. 100 km na południe od Mediolanu. Benassi Bros, który tworzą Benny & Alle Benassi zajmują się produkcją muzyki elektronicznej od kilku lat. W początkowej fazie współpracy rodzinnego zespołu, sława nie spędzała im snu z powiek. Dopiero w 2002 roku machina zapoczątkowana pracą przy projekcie KMC feat. Dhany oraz produkcji I Feel So Fine, które trafiły na topowe miejsca najważniejszych klubowych list przebojów w wielu krajach Europy Zachodniej. Niebywały sukces, którego byli niezaprzeczalnie autorami utwierdził ich w przekonaniu o trafności dokonanego przed laty wyboru... tak rozpoczęły się prace nad nowym projektem. Tym razem ich wsparciem została formacja The Biz Project (rumuńska balerina - Violeta i włoski wokalista - Paul French). Owocem ich kilkumiesięcznej pracy stała się płyta Hypnotech. Album łączący w sobie elementy electro, techno i house'u podbił serca Europejczyków i przez ponad miesiąc znajdował się na liście 20 najlepiej sprzedających się płyt. Krótko po sukcesie Satisfaction, na półki sklepów trafia - Able To Love, który odniósł sukces podobnie jak jego poprzednik. Benassi stał się również prekursorem nasiąkniętych erotyzmem, prowokujących teledysków. Jego Satissfaction oczyściło przedpole dla chociażby "Call on me" Erica Prydza. Po nim w najbliższym czasie oficjalnie wydany zostanie kolejny album, zatytułowany "Phobia". Hitem promującym jest utwór Feel Alive. Na krążku poza nim znajdzie się kilka dobrych przebojów na letnie dni.
